When traveling to Brooklyn, it is a must to stop and see Prospect Park. Many Brooklynites compare this park to Central Park. Sure it is not quite as nice, but it still has features that are very endearing.
Also in Brooklyn, do not forget to stop and try some of the world-famous Brooklyn Style Pizza.
When you decide to travel to Brooklyn, you can rest assured that it is a much cheaper route than traveling to Manhattan or other expensive areas in and around NYC. In Brooklyn, there are many attractions, such as Coney Island and Prospect Park. Not to mention Manhattan is just a short drive away.
Also, if you are interested in trying the world famous Brooklyn Style Pizza, there is an endless supply of restaurants that can satisfy your needs. Because this style of pizza is so popular there is always a line to get your pizza no matter where you go. That’s the price you have to pay to try the best pizza in the world.
There is plenty of family fun in Brooklyn. Even if you do not want to spend your entire vacation in Brooklyn, you can still get a hotel there and take a ride on the subway to wherever you want to go. This will save you a lot of money on hotel rates. Also, the subways are very efficient and the cost is very reasonable. The subways have improved in recent years.
Coney Island is located in Southern Brooklyn. It has a beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Also, there is amusement parks and a resort.
For a great time, you should go check out a minor league baseball game. If you have never been to one before, they are a different atmosphere than a major league baseball game. There is a lot more emphasis on getting the crowd involved. Also, they are a fraction of the price. The name of the park is KeySpan Park. This park is home to the Brooklyn Cyclones.

When many people think of a boardwalk, they often think of a ritzy, upscale area for shopping, walking, and other things. Well the boardwalk in Brooklyn is very different. The Boardwalk in Coney Island is about eight feet wide, with fences on each side. There are many parking lots on each side. There is also an array of low-rent apartment buildings on each site. These buildings are very historic. If you travel to Brooklyn, it is a good idea to stop by the Boardwalk in Coney Island to check out the unique setting. You can also walk a little further and visit historic Harlem. At this point, Harlem is safe enough to talk to without worrying about getting mugged or robbed. It is also very historic with the apartment buildings all being restored.
There are many different types of restaurants in Brooklyn. You can get basically any type of ethnicity of style of food there. On Coney Island you can enjoy the diversity of eating Russian food or a Coney Island original Nathan’s Famous hot dogs within a few feet. Because of the diversity of Brooklyn’s population you can always expect a unique experience when going out to eat.

Frederick Law Olmstead is the landscaper that designed Prospect Park. It is a beautifully laid out park located in Brooklyn. If you do travel to Brooklyn, this park is definitely a must-see. It is a lot more wild and natural than Central Park which is located in Manhattan. At any time there are many people in the park jogging, walking, and bicycling. In the park there are big fields that include baseball diamonds, which is also very similar to Central Park.
